Tips: Hookah Smoking Etiquette
These are Some Tips of Best Practices for When You Bisit Your Next Hookah Bar
When to use a Hose Mouthpiece Tip
Now if you’re smoking with your family or people you know you might not be too worried about using anything. Just smoking right off of the hose. If you don’t know everybody you’re hanging out with you don’t want to get any of their germs if they’re sick. Most establishments should offer one wrapped unused mouthpiece for each person enjoying the hookah.
Using the Mouthpiece
Place the mouthpiece on the hose and place your fingers over where the hose and mouthpiece meet. This will cover up any spit that you might have gotten on the hose, better safe than sorry
Passing the Hose
Always remember you’re never actually supposed to put the hose on the ground.
You’re never actually supposed to hand it to the next person.
Drape the hose on the stem when you are finished with your turn on the hookak. The next person will remove it and do the same when they are finished.
Double and Triple Hose Hookahs
For these larger hookah setups you get to use your very own hose. If you are lucky enough to try one of these remember to cover the end of the hose when you are not inhaling. This will help the other hoses get a better pull from the hookah.
Enjoy with Friends
Hookah lounges are a very social atmosphere. It is a very social thing to be smoking with all of your friends and relaxing.
Mix it Up
Shisha comes in many different flavors you can try, don’t be afraid to mix a few. Some favorites are apple and mint, grape and mint, and watermelon mixed with grape.
Belly Dancing is an Art
The level of difficulty required to perform these moves takes a very talented individual. This is a very ancient ritual performed by honorable performers, they are not strippers. Don’t attempt to tip them by shoving sweaty dollars into their pants. Treat them with respect and dignity and enjoy their craft.
